A corporate placement usually wants an executive sedan or an SUV that reads well at the office and is comfortable on the commute. A family settling in wants seats and boot space. Rates fall as the booking lengthens: self-drive includes 150 km daily, with discounted multi-day, weekly and monthly rates, and long-term bookings are quoted individually rather than off the daily rate. The security deposit is 3-5% of vehicle value, capped at R150,000, and every renter clears biometric verification, document checks and a vehicle-specific briefing before driving. International visitors are welcome with a valid home licence and an International Driving Permit. Chauffeur-driven long-term arrangements are quoted as a flat package.
